SpiritX Volunteer Moderator. Hi, References to Vista also apply to Windows 7. In reply to rff's post on August 28, I have that same problem, but when i open task manager i see that word is growing in size, it is truely eating the memory as long as that cursor circle is turning arround.

I have the same problem with the spinning circle on cursor which, is driving me nuts and hurting my eyes. I have the Microsoft Word version which came with my laptop and works just perfectly fine. The problem only started recently after I downloaded the 1-month Free Trial of Microsoft Office and it expired. Of course they tried selling me the original licensed version after the Trial Version has expired.

But when I did not bought it, just a few days later, I could hardly work on my files using that program because of the spinning circle that's driving me crazy each time I open a Word Document. So tonight, I started troubleshooting the program and when it didn't work because the options provided by Microsoft is limited I started Uninstalling the expired Trial version , then rebooting the system. After my computer rebooted I tried opening a Word Document and the same spinning circle on cursor is still there.

But now, even the original MS Word would not open on that fix tab at all. Went back to opening the same Word File, started typing some words and played with the keyboards a bit and wallahh Everything back to normal. I think it is about Compatibility Issues between programs and the device's software. I would only download PL's Programming Languages because they are very expensive if you buy the full version in retail store or online. OMG, when I checked my C: drive I could not believe how many unwanted programs were there from the recent downloads, causing my PC to slow down and even changed my Internet and Web Browser.

If you have Norton it will take care of those scammers. But since my Norton subscription expired I had to do manual cleaning and troubleshooting.
